Esu (or Ēsu, エース) is the main protagonist of Dream Escape. He is a curious yet courageous boy who is thrown into the dreamworld to survive for his own will. Ēsu, a junior high school student, contemplates his summer plans with friends Neveah, Jasper, Mio, and Akihiko when they decide to attend Camp Neko as an alternative. Ēsu manages to get his parents to sign for the camp online and weeks later he manages to go on the trip to Camp Neko. Spending his time there with his peers and making new friends there, he finds a mysterious staircase that seems out of place for an enviroment and a staircase that nobody else bats an eye too. After being transported to the Dream world, Ēsu would have to find his way out to reconnect with his friends outside. Within the dream world he is constantly barraged by creatures and species all controlled under the Grand Dream king and is constantly dragged deeper into this realm via Nanako kun.
Physical Appearance:
Esu is a boy aged between twelve and thirteen, characterized by brown hair and brown eyes. Initially, on the final day of summer break, Esu was seen wearing a navy blue gakuran and pants. Prior to his visit to Camp Neko, he was dressed in an oversized white T-shirt with a purple collar and a single purple stripe along the sleeves of the t-shirt, along with purple pants and gray shoes. While at Camp Neko, Esu donned a yellow cat-themed hoodie with brown stripes, featuring a black cat design with a black tail. He also wore a white short-sleeved polo shirt under his jacket, an oversized black bow tie, tiger-striped, brown shorts, and brown slip-on shoes. Completing his look were brown and light brown arm warmers and leg warmers.
